When it comes to intelligence, we may think that humans are at the top of the chain, but according to recent medical research, many members of the animal kingdom are not far behind. If you're interested in animal research, now might be the perfect time to consider a veterinary technology career.
Medical Research Discovers Animal Prodigies
In recent years, scientists have been conducting medical research on the animal kingdom. Through studies in labs and in the wild, researchers have discovered that animals communicate complex ideas, solve problems, use tools, and express their feelings. These behaviors have always been thought to be uniquely human, but instead it seems that many animals can use these innate traits for complex purposes.
Vet Tech Career Wave
Deciding to embark upon a veterinary career doesn't mean you have to spend your days working in an office treating sick dogs and cats. Instead, like many of today's veterinarians and techs, you can choose to enter the medical research branch. In this portion of the industry, you'll have the opportunity to work side by side with other medial researchers. You too can discover and document surprising animal behaviors, from humble honeybees to thundering elephants.
So don't deny yourself a veterinary career as a medical researcher. By understanding animals' behavior better, you can offer our society a more accurate perspective of the animal kingdom. Who knows, maybe animals are closer to the top of that chain than we realize.
