Imagine a world where proper nutrition was the major cure for most ailments and everyone received an education in a special nutrition program. It probably won't ever happen. Fast food companies would go out of business if everyone in the country was given a holistic nutrition education.

Clayton College of Natural Health - Make a difference in people's lives. Become a natural health practitioner. Start today.

How you can help

The world may not suddenly turn nutrition conscious, but you can do your part in expanding nutrition education if you choose a nutrition career. The reason the nutrition component of health care is a growing career choice is the growing understanding of the importance of a healthy diet in general health.

Athletes have always understood the connection. They and their coaches know that proper eating can be the difference between winning and losing. That's why nutrition is an important part of sports strength training. The application of holistic health principals in combination with a carefully planned nutrition program is the basis of many Olympic training strategies.

Becoming a holistic nutritionist

Holistic healing involves natural and non-invasive practices to move the body into its highest level of health. Of course, the most natural means of achieving health is through balanced nutritional programs and principles.

There are a number of schools that take the holistic approach in their nutrition degree program. It is also possible to earn a nutrition degree online. Once you have the degree, there are nutrition jobs in areas such as health care facilities, school nutrition programs, health clubs and even corporate cafeterias.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job market in this area will continue growing because of the increasing emphasis on disease prevention through improved dietary habits. Their studies show the growth continuing for at least another decade.
