In fact, according to the US Department of Labor, the median hourly wage for Dental hygienists is over $26 per hour. To be a dental hygienist, you must first attend an accredited dental hygiene school, then pass a written and clinical exam administered by the American Dental Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations. Most dental hygiene programs offer laboratory, clinical, and academic work with an associate's degree upon completion.
